About

Since it was launched in 2011, over 650 young people have already been part of the Boost program in Brussels, Antwerp, Liege, Verviers, Mons, La Louvière, Oostende, and Gent. Our vision for the future is even more ambitious. In the coming years, we aim to continue to improve our program and fully capitalise on growth.

Our ambition is both to continually improve our approach whilst also supporting an ever growing number of youngsters in several cities.

Our objective is to go beyond 1,000 participants in the next few years! In 2018, the average rate of success of our Boosters had reached 93% in secondary education and 74% in higher education.

We choose to give direct support to our youngsters. However, our Boosters do not develop in isolation in society. They are in contact with others (brothers, sisters, parents, teachers, friends etc.) whom they can influence as a result of their own path to success. The overall impact is thus much greater than just on the young people we support.

As a 100% Belgian bancassurer, Belfius wants to be a creator of meaning and inspiration for the whole of Belgian society. This is why it has launched the Future Funds, which invest in order to respond - each in their own way - to the major challenges facing society. One of these major themes is equal opportunities for women. And it is through this theme that Belfius supports Boost. Indeed, a part of the management fees of the investors is transferred to Boost in order to support its actions in favor of young women, and thus, to allow them to obtain a diploma which will facilitate their entry on the job market. This is a way to encourage Belfius clients to support companies that propose innovations that benefit everyone, while supporting major social issues.

Through a global network of youth, Empower Peace is providing the next generation with the opportunities and tools needed to build cultural competencies, develop leadership skills, advance mutual respect and understanding, promote peace and confront the issues of today.

Empower Peace, a Boston USA-based international non-profit was created in 2003. Our organization’s premiere program is the Women2Women International Leadership Program (W2W). W2W was developed to provide rising young female leaders with the skills needed to succeed in our global community.  W2W builds a network of promising young women from around the globe, engages them in the issues that define their lives, and provides them with the tools, relationships and opportunities required to lead.

Since its launch in 2006, over 2,000 emerging female leaders from nearly 80 countries have participated in this life-changing leadership experience.

The overwhelming success and impact of our Leadership program has inspired us to create and launch both an International Virtual University and a Belgian-specific virtual program, entitled: Women2Women Virtual University – Belgium.
